Book scanning projects

There has been a lot of news about Google Print lately. A number of authors and some publishers have sued to stop Google from scanning copyrighted works they get from libraries. Meanwhile, Yahoo!, the University of California and others have started the Open Content Alliance which is only scanning in books in the public domain.
